With the OpEn Fund, you can apply for financial support to bring your ideas to life. The fund supports a wide variety of projects that create knowledge, awareness, and action around global development – from rap workshops and creation of documentary films and video games, to public talks, festival activities, and much more!
The fund’s main goal is to reach Danes who are not yet engaged in global development. Through partnerships, the OpEn Fund works ambitiously and creatively to connect with new audiences.
OpEn – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Information and Civic Engagement Fund are open for application to all Danish actors who wish to inform and engage the public in global development – with the exception of sole proprietorships.

Application deadline
All OpEn funding for 2025 has been granted
During the autumn 2025, the OpEn Fund guidelines will be subject to a review. The next application deadline for OpEn projects will be 30 September 2026.
