With OpEn, our mission is to make global awareness, solidarity, and civic engagement a shared cause across Danish society. That’s why we’ve created a fund that encourages new thinking and supports innovative ways to inform and inspire people in Denmark to take action and make a difference in the world.

It's an ambitious goal – but one we believe is possible through cooperation. That’s why OpEn is open to a wide range of actors.

Eligible applicants include civil society organisations, media outlets, private and social enterprises, foundations, public and self-governing institutions, as well as cultural institutions.

You can also meet OpEn in every corner of Denmark – at major festivals, in community halls, at town events, and gathered around the kitchen tables of dedicated changemakers. Wherever we are, we work together to open up the world to the Danish public.

OpEn – the Information and Civic Engagement Fund – is managed by CISU - Civil Society in Development and the Roskilde Festival Foundation, in partnership with Democracy X and The Why Foundation.
